Remington {birth}

Just a few days before Kailey gave birth to Remington I went to their home and made a few portraits of her while she was in early labor. I loved watching her bounce on the ball on the front lawn as she read her bible and awaited for Remi’s arrival.. His older brothers were napping and the house was quite as she packed her hospital bag in preparation for the big day :)

prayers surrounded by family for a smooth and safe delivery. Kailey chose to go as natural as possible, with no meds and no epidural. But, there’s no shame in having meds if you need them, every momma is different. :)

Her midwife was with her most of the time as well. I just love this image of her midwife holding her hand and her husband hugging her. WOW.

Her own momma climbed in bed with her to help support, rub her back, and make her smile!

Whatever position helps, there is no wrong/correct/right way to labor. Let your body tell you what is best.
