Anita & Vern are the awesome pastors at our home church of 16 years, Heritage Christian Church. Anita shares my passion for photography, so when she asked me to photograph her precious family I was so honored. I couldn’t take payment for it though, so I asked her to just donate to the American Cancer Society in lieu. Win, win!

If you have been following me for a while you know I am not a “sit down and everyone look at the camera and smile” kind of photog. I prefer just watching and capturing relationships.

But, we had to get ONE for mom like this!

Totally adorable! And that’s about ALL Sophie would sit still for! Love toddlers!

Sophie is just turning three years old ( it seems like just a while ago I shot her parents, Dani & Matt’s, wedding at Nazareth Hall!) and she had her own agenda that night!

I know Sophie is a bit blurry in this one as mom and dad were swinging her, but I love the look on their faces, proud parents having fun with their little girl!

Thank you Matanick’s for trusting me with this special time. I KNOW how important family photos are!

Amy & Kevin {engaged}

Amy & Kevin are the fun loving couple who love boating and playing with Amy’s daughter Ava, whom Kevin ADORES!

When they first met Amy saw Kevin as a ‘serious party guy’ who she could never see herself marrying, but obviously they are meant to be!

Amy loves a grunge urban look, but since Kevin loves the water, Amy opted to have their {LOVE} session at the Bay to make her man happy. See, compromise! (okay, or knowing how to keep peace!-We will be doing some wedding photos with an urban look!)

They met at a ‘crazy party he was having at his house back in 2004′ and reconnected in 2011 and Amy says “that was all she wrote!” he proposed in Niagra Falls, bending down on one knee at night right near the Falls. Amy says it’s a night she will never forget!

Brittany & Corey {engaged}

Her eyes sparkle when he looks at her. She giggles, and he adores her.

The ‘kissing photo”.. I typically do not like kissing pictures.. noses are smooshed and it just looks awkward.. but THIS is a kiss! I have the couple hold just before their lips touch, feeling each others’ breath, and with an ever so light smile.

I fell in love with Brittany’s personality as soon as we met! And when I found out we have the same birth date, she deems herself as a “control freak/organized freak” (umm, hello? have we met in the mirror?) and she LOVES the Notebook … linked spirits! Seesters! As for Corey, he is former military and has red hair.. ’nuff said!

These two crazy kids met at a fair so, of course, we had to schedule the shoot around carnival season! So Stinkin’ FUN!

I love this photo… I cropped this for the guy to the left on purpose. I love to see the look on peoples faces when I pose someone near them. I liked to think he had a wife he was just waiting for (maybe she was off getting him some peanuts and lemonade or winning him a prize!) Of course I want the focus on the couple, with a little..’ oh wait, who’s that guy over there?’

In the end, true love wins every time…

Alex & Josh

Alexandra & Josh. What can I say about this adorable couple? Alex contacted me and wondered if I “would be interested or consider shooting a small courthouse wedding in Kentucky”?? Ummmmm, YES PLEASE! So excited to have a change of pace and capture small, intimate details of a love story save all the hoopla.

The sun was amazing this night and the couple really showed me their love for each other!

When Alex told me they were Duck Dynasty fans and wanted to mimic a photo in DD style, I was thrilled! We even found a duck decoy on the property! #score!
