So, I totally love shooting Couples Fun Sessions. I mean..totally. I love getting to know my couples before the wedding day, and I love how they have a chance to ‘bring it’ to this session, and they usually do.
This is when they get to plan it out and make it uniquely all about their love for each other, their likes, and their personalities. They choose the place, their attire and their fun ‘all about us’ props.
We usually have more time for these shoots then on a wedding day, so the opportunities are endless. This is where you can really bring your sexy, make it fun, and have a blast with each other!
Kristen Golightly (coolest last name) and Justin Perkins.. yes, he has MY initials, but I AM THE JP! LOL
These two are so fun and full of life and they couldn’t have chosen more perfect, fun colors for outfits this day. The bright stripes scream F.U.N and made me smile throughout the session.
Kristen chose downtown Grand Rapids, Ohio for their shoot and we had a gorgeous spring day in April.
I am so looking forward to their wedding in St. Thomas just two and a half weeks from now!

Lisa and Ben have been married five years. I didn’t photograph their first wedding, but I sure wish I had! I met them when Lisa planned a celebration when Ben came home from his first deployment after a year overseas. She hired me to photograph the party and from then on, we were friends! Lisa referred me to many of her friends as couples (I have photographed three of their coupled friends’ weddings since then) and I am so grateful to have met them!
For their five year anniversary Lisa and Ben decided to renew their vows with family and friends and bring me down to Orlando to photograph it all.
The weekend began with a Disney costume party and let me tell you, the details were awesome and fun was had by all!! Guess who the bride and groom went as??
You KNOW we had to do this! Cinderella and Prince Charming….

Their wedding was set for New Year’s Eve, the day before they were moving to begin their new life together as husband and wife in another state as Nick finishes chiropractor schooling. She paid no mind to all the packing, changes about to come, the cold , crisp air that could make picture taking that evening a bit uncomfortable. All she knew was that she loves him and will soon be his wife.
As the candles were lit up the walkway for their evening wedding in Grand Rapids, Ohio guests began to arrive as the girls and guys assembled in their separate rooms getting ready.
Ashley’s beautiful dress is from Gallipos in downtown Toledo and Nick wore a dapper suit from MW.
Evening time made for some fun with dramatic lighting which made my heart happy!
