How beautiful is this mama who just gave birth to this wee one??!
I was lucky enough to have met Brent & Kaitlin and photographed their engagement session, wedding, maternity with both girls as well as newborn lifestyle sessions with both Madelyn & Hadley. What a treat to watch this precious little family grow!
This Daddy surely has a way with his baby girls! He is the one to soothe and calm them and I love seeing them respond to him! Look how she just melts in his arms
Their dog Baxter was their from the very beginning as a puppy at Kaitlin & Brent’s engagement session! he always has to be in every portrait and he doesn’t care!

baby Zayna {lifestyle newborn}
I am not a newborn photographer by any means, but I do LOVE Lifestyle newborn photography~ I love when siblings get to hold the baby, gather around mom and dad, and I love seeing the awe and wonder of new life.
For me, LIFE is all about this: kids being kids. Lifestyle at its best… who wants to make kids sit and pose and smile at the camera?? If I can get it, great, but if they are busy bodies and wiggly giggly, I take them as they are! Perfectly imperfect in every way.
These moments are some of my faves.. the ones where kids can just be kids and do what they do..
Have I mentioned how much I adore feet photos??! When our children were growing up I would always compare their feet. I just loved seeing them grow! Kinda like one measures the height of a child, I would marvel at my kids’ feet! Remember what I said above about trying to make kids pose and smile?? Yeah, not happening here.. LOL

Cooper {lifestyle newborn}
It all started with this sweet little tie. Don’t you just love little boys looking dapper at 3 months old??
this little guy is typically the MOST smiliest baby everrrrrr, but not this day. No siree! But, in LIFESTYLE photography it’s not about making the child smile or getting them to look at the camera, it’s definitely about capturing the relation between baby and parents, emotions of love and pure bliss as a new mom or dad embrace their child.
For me, lifestyle is about snuggles, cuddles, playtime, buried in mom or dad’s chest, arms, neck… ahhh.. those moments that don’t happen after toddler years and certainly not in school age children. THIS ‘now’ moment, lifestyle, this is what its all about for me!
But, oh, come on, those baby blues!!!
This is one of my favorites of our time together! I LOVE the look on Jen’s face, I love the cuddles with Cooper, and Kyle looking on and over mom and baby in that protective manner only a father can do.
And, every cat owner needs a portrait of their feline friend, right? Thanks for sitting still these two seconds Zuess!
