when your couple runs a dairy farm where else do you photograph them? You got it!

I had so much fun with these two! It was very cold with crazy winds but we made the most of it and they brought! Darla and Andy, I cannot wait for your wedding next month!

Andrew is all about his John Deeres and has a collection of them so, of course we had to use the ring on one :)

There is meaning behind this hat… you’ll learn more when I post wedding images next month! and I should have used a higher F stop to get the name above the barn but I’m so used to shooting wide open for a shallow depth!

My assistant Alaysia grabbed this BTS (behind the scenes) shot of me doing my thang! not the most flattering, but hey, now you know! I rock my shoot sac (the camera/lens bag hanging to my right) at every session! love that thing so much we have two!

We’re HIRING!

We're hiring 2015
Hiring is always a bit stressful for me, but also fun! I have had some FANTASTIC peeps come in a “work” at JPP, and I want to continue that streak! Email me your resume, your WHY, and let’s chat!

Flexibility is a must, and a desire to make people happy. People pleasing and capturing memories is what we do!!

Joyce & Jim {engaged}

When I first met Joyce and Jim I KNEW I wanted to photograph their wedding, but then they left the consultation without booking and I wondered “what went wrong? I thought we were soul mates”! haha Then I got the call (and several texts and emails) that they wanted to secure having me as their photographer. Yippeee!

Joyce said “Your work is beautiful and we just knew you’d get the job done with your personality. And we just connected. You truly love your work and the people in it. We can tell! Jim and I said you’re the type of person we would go out for a drink with.”

And we did. We met for drinks a couple weeks after they signed their contract and I fell in love with them even more. (this is sounding kinda weird, huh?) Just kidding! but seriously, I love having those connections with my ‘clients’ . Building a strong relationship makes for the best photos!

These two just seem to have that chemistry… and, they met online…. E harmony.com! I think they should be in one of their commercials!  I could see immediately their connection and knew I wanted to be a part of it.

Joyce and Jim are incredible people and had ME smiling during their {LOVE} session!

I can’t even tell you how excited I am to capture their day next month as they say their “I do’s” at the beautiful Inverness Club in Toledo.

Until then, here is a sneak peek of the {LOVE} session.

Jim said he had to have the traditional Art Museum pose with ‘the bride in the front and the groom blurred in the back ground’ (that would be called ‘shallow depth of field’)

:)
 I think we got it, don’t you?
