Ally & Nick {part 2} Nazareth Hall Grand Rapids, Ohio

When couples write letters to each other and read them out loud for the video before delivering, it sets the tone for the entire day, and what a sweet tone this was!

Allyson & Nick have this amazing dynamic between the (three) of them. Their ADORABLE son Julian makes their little family this powerhouse of strength and I can only see that growing as they add more littles in the future!

They had an absolutely gorgeous day for their nuptials at Nazareth Hall and here are a handful of my faves.

First looks are always a fun part of the day. It allows little jitters to be released and are ALWAYS filled with SOME kind of emotion. Especially when the bride gives her groom an unexpected gift and I get THESE reactions! (above) That ‘little black book” was of an intimate/sassy secrets session I offer my brides. Nick was TOTALLY shocked and said “How did you do this? She would NEVER do something like this! ” and I’m pretty sure he said some type of words on how awesome it was, but his face says it all!

Julian got the cake in the face! Poor little guy never saw it coming. Wait until his wedding day.. I wonder if he will pay them back?? haha

Nick got to dance with his lovely aunt. Talk about no dry eyes in the place! Everyone was saying his mama was watching over him and would have been very proud. I’m sure Nick felt that.

“My favorite thing about him is that he is so easy going, there are not too many things that bother him. It is funny how we made such an impact in each others’ lives, we have taken pages from each others’ books. We really are Ying and Yang! I am not a big fan of that saying, but I don’t know what other phrase to describe our relationship! ” (Tiffany, talking about her new husband Brian).

“my most favorite part of the wedding was walking down the aisle to Brian. It was also the most emotional part. Knowing that we were going before God, our closest friends and family and in our parish to unite in marriage was one of the most amazing feelings I have ever had!

I knew there would be tears of joy and laughter, but I didn’t know they would happen in the opening to our ceremony, when Father Mark said,”welcome to the cry fest!’

” as crazy as it sounds, I am glad it rained ! (on our wedding day). The extra time with our amazing wedding party in the limo was perfect! We have such amazing friends and I am so glad we had a little bit of time to spend with just them! (Even if the rain wasn’t so great for the hair! ”

I love hearing a recap from the bride about her wedding day! It puts it all into perspective!

Hilary & Jaime {married}

Hilary and Jaime. Theirs is a story of TRUE friendship, best friends.

They met in grade school, fifth grade, to be exact.Though they didn’t start “dating” until the seventh grade, and had been inseparable ever since. Seventeen years dating, a good portion of that had to be long distance due to Jaime serving our Country in the U.S Marine Corps and a move for work to Chicago.

He proposed on Halloween 2014 because they had so many special memories of Halloween nights celebrating. Jaime arranged for for all of their closet friends and family to come over after to celebrate. Smart guy!

Jayme says he loves Hilary’s kindness, her humor, her dedication, smile and lack of a filter. She says what is on her mind!
He especially loves her freckles when she gets a little sun

When I asked Hilary what she loves about Jaime she replied :

I love how loyal he is. How he is the only person in the world that can make me laugh and forget that I was ever upset or angry. He understands and sees all my faults and still loves me anyway. He is a genuinely good person, people gravitate toward him, love being around him and knowing him. He’s a dreamer, which can also be annoying, but he is completely optimistic always. He doesn’t follow rules, doesn’t believe he fits into a specific category, he pushes boundaries for himself and isn’t afraid of challenges. He thrives sometimes in chaos and never acts afraid. He’s strong. He loves family and is excited to be a dad some day. He wants to raise three girls and has openly shared that with several people recently. He keeps his emotions close to his chest and doesn’t always share, so when he does he is completely sincere. He doesn’t cry ever, but he cried at our rehearsal dinner. When I jokingly whispered in his ear if he was getting cold feet he responded that the day was getting closer that he would have to share me with others, meaning our future children, and that scares him because he’s always had me all to himself, lol. And he was being completely serious, I thought it was cute. He obviously isn’t the jealous type, but just understands that the dynamic will change when and if God willing that day arrives, and he doesn’t want to lose what we have. I obviously told him that he never will.

Jaime, what was your favorite part of your wedding day?

“Seeing Hilary walking down the aisle, it was like seeing her all over again for first time. It actually was meeting my wife for the first time!”

Have you ever seen anyone happier to marry their best friend??

Hilary’s favorite part of the day ? “The reception, it went by so fast. The speeches given by our family and closest friends, the dancing, the Chinese lanterns at the end of the night, and the impromptu after party at Martini and Nuzzis until they closed at 3am. All of our friends dragged us there and we were glad we went, it was a long day, but we all had such a great time and didn’t want the night to end!”
