Family. There is nothing more important. And it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite sessions! I love all the interaction between loved ones. This downtown Toledo session behind the Toledo Art Museum was the perfect backdrop to catch all this love!

Lizzie & Joe {a birth story}
a beautiful birth story starts with beautiful maternity images. I so wish i had some images made when I was pregnant with each of my four children. I found a few (not so great) snapshots , and I’m at least happy to have those.
I love photographing maternity sessions for my birth clients because it’s a great time for us to connect and get to know each other before the big birth day happens. Much like an engagement session is to a wedding, I find these appointments so beneficial.
Birth is such a personal experience, and it is my heart to make every woman feel as comfortable with me being in the room. It’s also important for fathers to be cool with me being in the birth space as this is all new for him as well!
these next few images were taken by one of my awesome back up birth photographers, Laura Lyn.
I’m so thankful for this amazing industry of people who back each other up and deliver stellar work!
Then I was able to go the next day for a sweet fresh baby session.

Emily & Brandon 9.8.17 The Oliver House/Maumee Bay Brewing Company
Emily & Brandon could not have asked for more perfect weather for their wedding day! Surrounded by family and friends, these two were full of emotion the entire day and I was so lucky to be asked to be a part of it!
Emily chose jewel tones for her maids dresses and allowed them to choose any of those colors in a lace that they liked. I think they nailed it!
(this image below is shot through a mirror I held up for the reflection)
And those handmade (with LOVE) boutonnières!! each one unique and personal!
Can we just talk about this bouquet for a moment?? GAH!! Emily chose very special embellishments to adorn her flowers and each flower had a special piece of her heart attached!
When I asked her to go stand by her dress for a moment she was overcome with emotion. Have I mentioned I LOVE emotion! Just before Emily’s father came in to see his youngest daughter for the first time in her dress, she let go of a few more tears..
Pastor Chad (AKA PC) prayed with Emily just before heading out to get the guys in place, and Emily’s maids prayed again, as Arianna lead them all in words of peace, encouragement, and love.
when Brandon saw his beautiful bride being walked towards him by her father he couldn’t hold back his feelings of joy.
As PC prayed over the couple at the end, they realized Brandon hadn’t out his shoes and socks back on and they would be walking back up the aisle as husband and wife like ‘Shoeless Joe Jackson’! Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion!
